New active daddies in 21 century

In America, daddies are giving more time to their children in 21 century, spending one third of their time at home. According to the New York Times article that number of stay-at –home daddies is increased than before. The traditional definition of fatherhood is to focus on men’s ability to support their families financially but now it adds that father should support children emotionally and physically as well. Because through this act children have male role model and it also boosts their confidence.

According to the Pew research center, which is an American think tank located in Washington D.C., fathers have tripled their time to spend with children and families. In the report, they mentioned some figures which are from 2.5 hours per week in 1965 to 7.3 hours today.

Increase in the number of stay-at-home fathers is a positive change in society because it improves the relationships and also decreases the divorce rates. Children get better and peaceful environment to grow and learnt.
