Balut: the weirdest, the yuckiest and the most disgusting food ever!!!!!!!
Well have you ever read, hear or see somewhere this name?
I’m sure in Pakistan this name didn’t even exist. As this is our food week, so
I’m going to tell you guys about what balut really is but promise me you don’t
vomit after reading and seeing pictures!!!
The fertilized egg of duck at the stage of 9 days is called
balut. The balut egg is boiled and usually eaten with salt, just
like a normal boiled egg. But the most annoying part is that the duck is eaten
with all his pre-mature parts like with his beak, eyes, all his internal organs
and to top that the embroyic fluid is also sipped down with great pleasure!!!.
The yolk which is still attached to duck is also tore down and eaten, means all
parts of balut is intensively gobbled down by his lovers.
This is Filipino delicacy; most
probably it is their famous street food. Like in Pakistan you can find chaat
stall, fries vendors, popcorn carriage but in fillpines balut is their most famous
street food.
